  • April Lapse and an Update

Well, I’ve gone and done it.  I broke my promise to post at least one recipe and one review per month.  April was kind of a crazy month, so I owe all of my loyal readers an apology.

In other news, I bought a house (yay!)!  The kitchen, while large, is just as outdated as my previous one (boo!).  I’ll need to work on that.  Additionally, mortgage payments now put me firmly back in the “broke” category.  So, perhaps I won’t be reviewing as many fancy restaurants as I did in the past.  This might actually give me a chance to try some of the food trucks and “hole in the wall” joints that I keep putting on the back burner.

    Stay tuned for more deliciousness!

  • Happy New Year!

About a year ago, someone made me promise to make my New Year’s Resolution to update my blog at least twice a month (one recipe, and one review).  I hope I have made him proud.

I think 2014 was a great year for The Broke Baker, and I think 2015 will be just as good.  Thank you to all of you that have continued to follow me on this journey.  I hope that my insights and experiences have helped some of you.  After all, life is too short to waste it on mediocre food.

Stay tuned for more recipes and reviews..  Here’s to 2015!

  • Happy New Year!

I’m back!  After almost 2 years of neglect, I have finally returned with the full intent of committing to keep this blog updated.  And, thanks to some upward mobility in the workforce, I am now the “not-as-broke” baker.  That doesn’t have the same ring to it, though.  What does this mean for this blog?  Basically, aside from logging any culinary experiments, I will also be reporting on restaurants and food events that I visit.  So, let’s get 2013 started!
